Abstract
Performance of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunting (TIPS) in children requires an awareness of the technical challenges posed by pediatric anatomy and physiology. Any interventional radiologist skilled in adult TIPS and contemplating performing their first pediatric TIPS should consider adding a second set of more experienced hands. This article reviews some of the more salient technical considerations for performing TIPS in this unique patient population.Entities:
