Abstract
Skins and hollow organs have been shown to form epithelialized cysts when transplanted into subcutaneous tissue of a recipient animal, expanding their surface areas. This system seems to offer a good potential for regenerating organs. We investigated the functional and structural contribution of epithelia and connective tissue compartments in this regeneration system with two experimental systems. Keywords: GFP; cyst; epidermis; epithelialization; skin; transplantation
