Abstract
The diagnosis of allergic dermatitis and respiratory disease is increasing in veterinary practice. Searching for the initiating allergen(s) can be done with several kinds of dermal tests. In four healthy dogs and in 18 patients with a dermal or respiratory allergy problem the intradermal and prick tests were compared. Intradermal test reactions were readily identifiable and correlated well with anamnestic investigations. The prick tests generally did not give easily interpretable reactions.Entities:
