Abstract
Human papilloma virus (HPV) is frequently present in the genital tract. It causes various lesions at the mucosa of both sexes. It is considered as a causative factor of cervical cancer even if all women infected by HPV will not develop the disease. This article reviews aspects of HPV molecular biology and the mechanisms of cancerogenesis in HPV infected females.Entities:
