Radiology of the retroperitoneum: case-based review.

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: We discuss five scenarios in which retroperitoneal abnormalities are imaged.
CONCLUSION: Retroperitoneal disorders may manifest as a focal or diffuse abnormality and may be benign or malignant. Imaging plays a key role in providing a differential diagnosis in patients with retroperitoneal abnormalities.
