Abstract
Athletes can sustain a large variety of injuries, from simple soft-tissue sprains to complex fractures and dislocations. This article reviews and provides the most recent information for sports medicine professionals on the initial assessment and treatment from the sports sidelines without the benefit of imaging of bone and joint injuries (excluding facial injuries). This information will aid sports medicine professionals by giving them basic suggestions that may allow for the safe and prompt return of athletes to the field of play.Entities:
