Elif Karadeli1, Nihal Uslu.

Abstract

Abstract Many woman have low back pain and sacral pain during pregnancy and in the postpartum period. The pain is most often caused by mechanical compression of the soft tissues and ligaments in the pelvis. It is rare for a sacral fracture to cause pain during pregnancy or immediately after birth. Few cases of sacral fracture in the postpartum period have been reported to date. Here, we describe the imaging features of a sacral fracture associated with radicular symptoms in a woman who had just delivered her first child.
