Abstract
We report the case of a 84 year old patient who developed a syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) with severe hyponatremia in the context of a localized herpes zoster L1/2. This is a rare but known complication of localized varizella zoster infection. Under water restriction and salt administration the hyponatremia was corrected slowly. One month after hospital discharge the patient showed a normal sodium value without diet.Entities:
