Abstract
A mainstay of antibiotic treatment is its optimal duration for the management of infections. Many randomized control trials have been conducted on these issues during the last years. The results from these randomized control trials have been analyzed by various meta-analyses. To address the role of meta-analyses that compared a short-duration with a long-duration of the same antibiotic treatment for various infections a search was made in PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane databases for relevant meta-analyses.Entities:
