[Surgical anatomy of the liver and liver resection. Brisbane 2000 Terminology].

I Popescu1, I Câmpeanu.

Abstract

The authors analyse the two major liver segmentations--the French and the American ones--that are different only of the left hemi liver level. The new liver segmentation, with obvious surgical implications, and the liver resection terminology both unanimously adopted in Brisbane 2000 are furthermore discussed.
