Abstract
A 46-year-old patient had had a slowly growing progressive but painless prelaryngeal space-occupying lesion for approximately 1 year. In addition there was also a longstanding hyperuricemia with gout tophi on the metatarsal basal joints 1-5 of both hands. The extirpated tumor proved to be a gout tophus by histological examination. Although this is a rare occurrence it should be considered as the possible cause of a tumor if there is a corresponding case history.Entities:
