Abstract
Symptomatic cardiac melanoma metastases are very rare. A 76-year-old woman was admitted because of dyspnea and intrathoracic pain 8 years after surgery of a superficial spreading melanoma and 4 years after resection of in-transit metastases. MRI and echocardiography disclosed an intracavitary right atrial mass. Histologically a cardiac melanoma metastasis was found. Unspecific cardiac symptoms in a patient with elevated risk for distant metastases of melanoma should be further investigated to discover cardiac metastasis early.Entities:
