Abstract
The question whether delayed surgical treatment has any effect on recovery and invalidity in severe infections of the hand was evaluated in 91 cases. Immediate surgical treatment led to complete recovery in 90% of the cases, whereas surgical intervention one week later led to a significantly higher complication and amputation rate.Entities:
