Abstract
Renal biopsy is viewed as the gold standard for diagnosis and management of many kidney diseases, especially glomerulopathies. However, the histopathological descriptions currently used in clinical practice often are neither diagnostic nor prognostic. The paper by Sethi et al. highlights the availability of a newer investigative tool that can be used to better define pathogenesis and, perhaps more important, to discover robust biomarkers of kidney disease cause and outcome.Entities:
