Abstract
Acromegaly may result from ectopic production of the hypothalamic peptide, growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH), or growth hormone (GH) itself. Hypothalamic, carcinoid, and pancreatic tumors account for most of these cases. The pathogenesis, etiology, and diagnosis of acromegaly caused by these nonpituitary tumors is discussed, and an approach to their management is provided.Entities:
