Abstract
The organo-amidocuprate [Cu(2)Li(2)Mes(2)(N(CH(2)Ph)(2))(2)] is solvated by thf to yield the monomeric contact ion pair complex [MesCuN(CH(2)Ph)(2).Li(thf)(3)] in which the Li cation is bound to the amido nitrogen; this behaviour differs significantly from that observed in diorganocuprates which favour solvent separate ion pairs.Entities:
