Abstract
There is a direct connection between the doctor-patient relationship and the quality of care. An increase in female and minority physicians leads to a corresponding increase in physician perspective, which allows for improved identification with the patient's feelings. Preconceived thoughts are difficult to overcome, and the physician must recognize all barriers to effective communication.Entities:
