Abstract
Patent foramen ovale (PFO) is reported in up to 50% of patients with cryptogenic stroke. However, the role of PFO in acute myocardial infarction is less reported. In this case report, the relationship between PFO, myocardial infarction, and an interatrial paradoxical thromboembolism (aka thrombus-in-transit) was diagnosed with the use of non-invasive technique, percutaneous procedures, as well as gross surgical specimen.Entities:
