Abstract
Smaller diameter brachytherapy seeds for permanent interstitial implantation allow for use of smaller diameter implant needles. The use of smaller diameter needles may provide a lower incidence of healthy-tissue complications. This study determines the brachytherapy dosimetry parameters for the smaller diameter source (model 9011) and comments on the dosimetric comparison between this new source and the conventional brachytherapy seed (model 6711).Mesh:
