Take a deep breath and brace yourself...

Haydn Bush.

Abstract

Is health care recession-proof? Forget about it. As the global economic crisis intensifies, hospitals are getting bruised on all fronts. Access to capital is tight. Rising unemployment means declines in insurance coverage. An AHA report finds that elective surgeries and admissions have fallen. Most hospitals will survive the recession, but some won't. And some will emerge stronger than ever. Where do you fit in the equation?
