Abstract
Massive pulmonary embolism complicated by cardiogenic shock and severe abdominal pain represents both a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. We present the case of a critically ill patient in whom acute abdominal ischemia, which was caused by splanchnic hypoperfusion secondary to critical ostial celiac trunk stenosis, manifested during the course of massive pulmonary embolism complicated by a cardiogenic shock.Entities:
