Abstract
We report the development of microfluidics-integrated mechanically controllable break junction device and its applications to electrical characterizations of DNA-sized particle dynamics in a microfluidic channel. It is found that the electrostatic electrode-particle interaction slows down the particle flow through the electrode nanogaps. The present results suggest the useful capability of transverse electric field for controlling DNA translocations through a nanopore.Mesh:
