Abstract
An ultimate goal of Drosophila genetics is to identify and define the functions of all the genes in the organism. Traditional approaches based on the isolation of mutant genes have been extraordinary fruitful. Recent advances in the manipulation and analysis of large DNA fragments have made it possible to develop detailed molecular maps of the Drosophila genome as the initial steps in determining the complete DNA sequence.Entities:
