Abstract
Coracoid process fractures are rare and few cases have been reported in the orthopedic literature. In this article, we report the case of an American football player with a coracoid process fracture in the setting of acromioclavicular separation and describe incidence, mechanism of injury, and treatment. Although rare, coracoid process fracture should be considered in the differential diagnosis for shoulder pain. Treatment varies according to fracture type. Based on our literature review, we recommend that clinicians initially treat nondisplaced coracoid fractures nonoperatively.Entities:
