Abstract
The inability of two definitions of metabolic syndrome (MS) to predict the presence of coronary artery disease (CAD) in a non-Caucasian population was demonstrated. Angiography was used as the gold standard method for identifying patients with (cases) or without (controls) CAD. It is possible that the current definitions of MS are not appropriate for some non-Caucasian populations.Entities:
