Abstract

An efficient one-pot synthesis of ethyl 2-(4-aryl-2-dialkylamino-1,3-thiazole-5-yl)-2-oxoacetates using acid chlorides, secondary amines, ethyl bromopyruvate, and ammonium thiocyanate is described.
