Abstract
We report a rare case of pericatheter herniation with small bowel incarceration in a patient on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). However, the predominant clinical features were signs of a severe catheter tunnel infection rather than ileus. We propose that pericatheter herniation should be considered as part of the differential diagnosis of CAPD tunnel infection, even when there are no clinical signs of bowel obstruction.Entities:
