Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease: emerging concepts of pathogenesis and new treatments.

William E Braun1.

Abstract

Some of the mystery of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is starting to clear. Basic research is shedding light on its pathogenesis, and new treatments are in clinical trials. This paper reviews some of these advances and what they mean to patients.
