Fang Lv1, Xiao-Jie Xu.

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To study the chemical constituents from Rabdosia rubescens.
METHODS: Compounds were isolated by Silica gel,Sephadex LH-20 and ODS column chromatographies, their strctures were identified by physicochemical property and NMR, MS.
RESULTS: Eight constituents were identified as phaeophytin a (1), phaeophytin b (2), 17c-ethoxypheaophorbide a (3), 17c-ethoxyphea ophorbide b (4), oleanolic acid (5), physcion (6), emodin-8-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (7), isorhamnetin (8).
CONCLUSION: Compounds 1-4, 6 and 7 are obtained for the first time from this plant.
