Abstract

The automatic recognition of pulse waveform is the key in the research of computerized pulse diagnosis. The peak detection is important in the extraction of the features of pulse waveform in time domain. In this paper, we proposed a robust peak detection algorithm of pulse waveform based on the ratio of peak height. The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is robust against unspecific noise and baseline drift of pulse waveform. The proposed algorithm can be applied into other quasi-periodic physiological signals too.
