Abstract
Hepatoportal sclerosis (HPS) is one of the causes of noncirrhotic portal hypertension. In most patients, hepatic synthetic dysfunction does not occur; rarely they may require liver transplantation. In this study, we have reported the clinicopathologic characteristics of 3 patients diagnosed with HPS after examination of the explanted liver. Small liver volume, significant portal fibrosis, and phlebosclerosis may contribute to hepatic synthetic dysfunction in patients with HPS.Entities:
