Abstract
Treatment in spinal disorders, sacroiliac joint disruption, and sacral fractures may involve instrumentation of the sacrum. Proper screw placement is essential for obtaining adequate bony purchase for solid fixation. Injury to adjacent vital structures during screw placement remains a major concern because of the complex anatomy of the sacrum. This article reviews the bony anatomy of the sacrum.Entities:
