Having friends who reported playing a game or sport every day was significantly correlated (r = .369, P < .001) with number of days engaged in VPA.
Youth who tried a new game or sport in past 2 months reported significantly more days engaged in VPA than youth who did not (P < .001).
Students who reported VERB awareness engaged in VPA a significantly higher mean number of days per week than did students who were unfamiliar with VERB (P = .01).
Students who reported familiarity with VERB Summer Scorecard engaged in VPA a significantly higher mean number of days per week than did students who were unfamiliar with this program (P = .02).
