Figure 1Activities of 90Sr and 239Pu in milk teeth as a function of the year of birth. Nuclear bomb tests conducted between 1955 and 1963 produced large amounts of 239Pu and 90Sr in air. 239Pu activities in the air can be deduced from 90Sr in the air [data from UNSCEAR (2000) for the Northern Hemisphere] with a factor of 1/95.
