Diffuse fasciitis with eosinophilia (shulman syndrome).

Abstract

A 46 year old female presented with generalized edema and arthralgias. She had hypereosinophilia accompanied by diffuse fasciitis and perimyositis. Fasciitis and perimyositis in the same patient is part of the spectrum of eosinophilic fasciitis or Shulman syndrome.Fasciae biopsy should be done in conjunction with muscle biopsy in patients with muscle pains.
