Calculation of intratumor temperature in a heated superficial tumor.

Measurements of intratumor temperature build-up in locally heated superificial tumor in the footpads of mice were analyzed. The intratumor temperature rise was found to consist of two slopes before the temperature reached a steady state. An empirical equation was developed, allowing a close estimate of the intratumor steady state temperature.
