Abstract
In recent years there has been an increasing interest in the role of anti-Müllerian hormone or Müllerian-inhibiting substance as a marker of ovarian reserve during assisted reproduction treatment and other reproductive processes. It is concluded that anti-Müllerian hormone is superior to other markers in predicting oocyte yield in IVF and appears useful in monitoring ovarian response in a range of reproductive states and disorders.
