Abstract
Malignancies account for about 20% of incidentally diagnosed venous thromboembolism. Surgery- or chemotherapy-induced risk of thrombosis is also high in patients with cancer. We report on a young male with skeletal Ewing's sarcoma who presented with deep vein thrombosis in the affected limb, which is quite a rare clinical condition. Venous thrombosis of the lower extremities in young patients should prompt the clinician to search for underlying local malignancies.Entities:
