Abstract
Tremor caused by beta-adrenostimulating drugs is known to be mediated by beta-receptors in skeletal muscles. In this study it was shown that tremor caused by terbutaline could be blocked by propranolol, a drug with both beta1- and beta2-blocking properties, but not by metoprolol, a beta1-selective antagonist. It is concluded that tremor caused by sympathomimetics in man is mainly mediated by beta2-receptors.Entities:
