Abstract
Lipoblastoma is a rare childhood tumor composed of embryonic fat. It is benign and most often presents in children younger than 3 years. These tumors primarily present as a rapidly enlarging mass in the extremities or trunk with abdominal lipoblastomas comprising less than 10% of all reported cases. Abdominal lipoblastomas are most commonly found in the retroperitoneum with less than 15 reported cases arising in the mesentery. We report the unusual presentation of a lipoblastoma arising in the mesentery of a 3-year-old boy.Entities:
