Laboratory maintenance and characterization of Yersinia pestis.

Scott W Bearden1, Robert D Perry.

Abstract

This unit describes protocols for Yersinia pestis maintenance and growth in research and clinical laboratories, including some protocols for strain characterization. Strain-dependent requirements for different Biosafety Level containments are also discussed. Copyright 2008 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
