Abstract
INTRODUCTION: This article presents the preliminary results and experiences from an ongoing study aiming to develop and test a nurse-led multidisciplinary rehabilitation programme for women who undergo surgery for localised gynaecological cancers and evaluate the effect of the programme prospectively on self-assessed health and coping. DISCUSSION: Preliminary results have shown that the programme has improved the participant's coping skills, physical well-being and energy level. The programme is easily established and cost-effective. Final results will be available from 2011.Entities:
