Factors influencing job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

Abstract

PURPOSE: To assess the relationship between intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors influencing job satisfaction and the perspective of frontline medical imaging staff in acute care health care facilities in the United States.
METHODS: The sample consisted of 359 registered radiologic technologists who were working as staff technologists in acute care health care facilities in the United States.
RESULTS: The results of the study suggest that satisfaction with intrinsic and extrinsic motivators influences overall satisfaction with the work environment and job and commitment to the employer.
