Abstract
Electronic subscription alerts provide new possibilities for health care providers to stay abreast with current literature and practice evidence-based medicine. During a 5 month prospective observation we compared the performance of the three common subscription methods: email and Really Simple Syndication (RSS) from the publisher and RSS from PubMed. The 3 methods were reliably updated without interruption in service but demonstrated significant variability in the contents and timing.Mesh:
