Abstract

The synthesis and structural characterization of an unprecedented lanthanide phosphinidene species [(THF)(3)(I)Nd(mu-PC(6)H(3)-2,6-(i)Pr(2))](2) are described; the phosphinidene moiety in this complex reacts as a carbene.
