Abstract
Increasingly more common, these infections pose diagnostic and therapeutic problems. The distinction between primary infection in healthy hosts and opportunistic infection in the immunocompromised remains clinically useful. Three major diseases in each category are discussed. A promising therapeutic advance is the introduction of orally administered azoles.Entities:
