Platinum metals-solution chemistry and separation methods (ion-exchange and solvent extraction).

Abstract

The effects of knowledge of the solution chemistry of the platinum metals on their separation by solvent extraction and ion-exchange methods are reviewed, for the period 1950-1983. The review concentrates on the chloro-complexes of these metals and indicates those areas which need more investigation or interpretation to provide adequate separational methods.
