Abstract
A case of Streptococcus pneumoniae meningitis in a possibly immune-compromised child with a ventriculoatrial shunt is described. The infection was successfully eradicated by treatment with intravenous ceftriaxone and rifampicin, without removal of the shunt.Entities:
