[Testosterone substitution with special regard to prostate cancer].

M Beintker1, H Behre.

Abstract

Testosterone substitution is used to treat the symptoms of low testosterone in men who do not produce enough natural testosterone. Hypogonadism is associated with a range of disease states that have significant effects on morbidity and mortality and also affect quality of life. The regular investigation of PSA, prostate, and ultrasound is necessary.
