Accentuation of Staphylococcal hemolysis (CAMP-like test) by pneumococci.

B Brzin.

Abstract

A CAMP-like phenomenon can be observed in Streptococcus pneumoniae. It is supposed to be caused likewise as in group B streptococci by a haemolysis accentuating factor. However, the form of the accentuated haemolysis is different from that in group B streptococci and similar to that in listeria.
